Choose a routine you can repeat comfortably within your available time.
Your first training week
List two convenient training days with recovery time between them. For general adult health, CDC guidance includes muscle-strengthening activity on at least two days each week; that is a public-health baseline, not a personalized bodybuilding program. Start with movements appropriate to your ability.
A flexible session outline
Warm up gradually, practice your selected movements, complete your planned work, and record what happened. Leave time to learn technique. Use the printable workout log to record rather than guess.
Training at home
Choose stable equipment, a clear floor area and secure anchors when using bands. Check the manufacturer’s load limits. Household furniture is not automatically suitable for supporting exercise loads.
Training in a gym
Ask staff how to adjust equipment and use safety features. Request instruction before attempting unfamiliar lifts. Respect shared space and avoid copying someone else’s load.
When to change the plan
Consider more complexity only when your current plan no longer fits your schedule or progress. Changing everything every week makes it hard to know what works.
